Anybody here have problems with the boost pressure sensor? If you did, did you replace it with another one from Daihatsu?

Engine light came on twice already and the error code says it is that sensor.

Before Swift I have Daihatsu YRV Turbo with MANUAL transmition. It was 3 or 4 YRV Turbo in Russia with MT at that time... To do that Ill need to replace K3-VE to K3-VET. You can read about this project with some photo (translated by google): http://translate.google.ru/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Freviews.drom.ru%2Fdaihatsu%2Fyrv%2F35084%2F

All information here: http://www.yrv.ru/forum/index.php/topic,6173.0.html

There two way to do this:
1. Replace Aitomatic transmition to Manual on Turbo TRV.
2. Replace K3-VE to K3-VET on atmospheric YRV with MT.

Never heard abt pressure sensor failure. Take this sensor from another yrv and check on your engine. If "jacky chan" yellow light still came on, it could be a problem with wire or sort of conflict with unichip... Do you know if ECU wire for pressure sensor was cutted for unichip installation or not?

My tuner also says it might be wiring. Where does this sensor sit and how does it look? As far as I know it wasn't cut for the unichip but not 100% sure. I go to him sometime to chek the wiring. It only came on about 2 months ago for the first time and this weej for the 2nd time.

I got hold of one of these 99' A4/passat 1.8T interccolers, will be about 53% more effient than the stock intercooler.

stock cooler core 13cmx15cmx6.5cm
A4/passat cooler 17cmx24cmx6.5cm

Audi A4 intercooler

Motorcade fitted it today

The 5th injector is also fitted into the boost pipe but can't be seen on these pics, still needs to be connected to the fuel line and UniQ. Now need to get to my tuner to tune it for 1.35-1.4bar. I went the 5th injector route because I only want extra fueling at full throttle and 4 bigger injectors will mess with my fule economy

This solution is often used on intercooler owners starlet, I am still a supporter of the frontal performance. 5injector is a good solution, but here it should be placed after the air temperature sensors
waiting for new measurements on the stand  ;)

The FMIC is the best, This route was just less complicated, cheaper and easier to fit. The 5th injector is after the air temperatur sensor. I can definately feel a difference with the new intercooler.

I had her mapped at my tuner, I wanted a 3rd map for drags, we got the boost up to 1.4bar but the small turbo couldn't hold it and drop back to 1.25bar. The main problem was that the 95 unleaded fuel with octane booster wasn't good enough either, even if we up the boost the power doesn't want to go up so looks like she pulls timing. I need to put in some racing fuel and get the 3rd map mapped again. But not bad power though. The 5th injector did supply the sufficient fuel, but the fuel was just not good enough! :)

So the 3rd map is not complete will go back with some racing fuel in the tank or stronger octane booster like NF the black bottle.

Map 3(race) vs Map 2(play)

Map 3(race) vs Map 1(everyday)

Will the IHI RHF4 turbo be too big for the YRV? Will it fit on the RHF3 current manufolt? If I compare the RHF4 to a garrett what size garrett will be similar, the GT25-28 or bigger?
