The igniter on the YRV on a buddy's car has packed up. Very expensive to replace from Daihatsu! Is there anything aftermarket modules he can replace it with?

in cars with right-hand drive - no ignitor

You can be replaced by an electric motor cables, high voltage coils and the engine control unit (ECU). Then it will be all work without ignitor

I don't think anyone had a problem with it yet, what about getting it from the auctions, prices in England are not bad (try NZ or OZ).

If I wanted to get a new upgrade turbo for my car what spec should it be? a Garrett GT25 maybe or something else? WHat would be the right spec for the 1300 to reduce turbo lag? It must be a ball bearing turbo though, just for easy spool up.

Haven't seen him 4 ages, i don't think bigger turbo will decrease t-lag, DRV used garret, some other people used subaru's IHI-turbo.
Anyway, have the same problem, but some ppl think they're too smart, and basically noone helped me with that.

exhaust manifold +1, i've just done mine a month ago...trust me - there is a difference )

ЮР, в натуре тема живая, мож соберешь всё в 1-у тему по свопу турбин...у меня вот сразу вопрос, какие отличия в хар-ках твоей и лифтера например, что было попроще поставить... один фиг тоже придётся ставить, не вижу смысла родную за те же бабки брать. И этот спросит - если чё - переведу.
